The Manager, Finance & Accounting in the Foundation is responsible for ensuring that the Foundation’s accounting records and financial reports are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and industry best practices. The Manager oversees the daily routine functions of the department and ensures proper internal controls over Foundation assets. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: At least 5 years’ experience as an accountant or in an accounting management role Expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook, in particular) EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Prior experience as an accounting manager or similar full-charge accounting function Prior experience accounting for a nonprofit organization and preparation of Form 990 Prior experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge Prior experience as a financial auditor, especially in audits of not-for-profit organizations Prior supervisory experience CORE COMPETENCIES: Expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, accounting operations, financial management, leadership, problem-solving/analysis, attention to detail and accuracy, responsiveness, promptness, ethical conduct, professionalism, collaboration, communication proficiency and technical capability.
