Katie Caldwell-Burchett lives about 250 miles from Children’s Hospital Colorado in Rawlins, Wyoming. So when her daughter, Olivia, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 4 months old, it was not easy to access the expert pediatric care her baby needed. The family spent countless hours in the car travelling to Children’s Colorado for treatment, right up until Olivia passed away in October of 2013.

One of Colorado’s premier black-tie charity events, the 41st annual Children’s Gala took place at the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center. The event brought together generous donors, courageous patients and devoted caregivers for an incredible evening that raised a $2.4 million for the hospital.

With the help of donors, Children’s Hospital Colorado is making transformative improvements to the state of pediatric mental health.
