AURORA, COLO. – (February 12, 2018) – Alice 105.9 Cares for Kids Radiothon™ raised $1.3 million for Children’s Hospital Colorado, a proud member of the Children’s Miracle Network®. The two-day Radiothon was broadcast live from the Children’s Colorado Boettcher Atrium on KALC Alice 105.9 on Feb. 8 and 9, 2018.
“For most families, their child’s firsts – first steps, first words, first days of school - are a regular part of life. But for many of our patients, these firsts represent years of hard work and unending courage to overcome serious medical challenges,” said Michele Murray, director of marketing communications, Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation. “Alice 105.9 listeners and community members who donated through the Radiothon are helping give more of these ‘firsts’ to the families and children we serve.”
Alice 105.9 DJs and staff were joined by patients and families to present a check to Children’s Colorado (see photo above). This year’s fundraiser brings the 17-year total for the Alice 105.9 Cares for Kids Radiothon to more than $21 million, funds that help “Give More Firsts” to patients and families at Children’s Colorado.
