AURORA, COLO. (February 15, 2019) – Alice 105.9 Cares for Kids Radiothon™ raised $1.35 million for Children’s Hospital Colorado, a proud member of the Children’s Miracle Network®. The two-day Radiothon was broadcast live from the Children’s Colorado Boettcher Atrium on KALC Alice 105.9 on Feb. 13 and 14.
This year’s event featured stories of hope and healing, a surprise visit from former Denver Broncos running back and Hall-of-Famer Terrell Davis, a first-ever hot air balloon glowing on the front lawn of the hospital and more. Several sponsors contributed to Radiothon’s success, including Colorado Marriott Hotels, as presenting sponsor for the event, and Safeway, as a phone bank sponsor.
“Each year, we are amazed by the outpouring of generosity from the community during the Alice 105.9 Cares for Kids Radiothon. It’s clear that our supporters believe children’s lives should be filled with limitless possibilities,” said Jennifer Roe Darling, president and CEO, Children’s Hospital Colorado Foundation. “We are so grateful for Alice 105.9 listeners and community members who donated through the Radiothon and make such a big difference – ensuring that all kids and families have access to world-class care.”
Alice 105.9 DJs and staff were joined by patients and families to present a check to Children’s Colorado.
