Volunteering for the Courage Classic is a fun way to give back to Children's Colorado while working alongside vivacious, dedicated people.

Volunteer info

  • Must be 18 years or older to volunteer
  • Most positions require a commitment for both days of the tour, July 20-21, 2019. We also have a number of one-day opportunities including marshalling and registration.
  • Positions are available that start Friday, July 19 and end the last day of the tour, Sunday, July 21.
  • Volunteer positions fill up on a first-come, first-served basis. We will place you based on your qualifications and required experience

All volunteers receive:

  • Complimentary meals
  • Courage Classic Volunteer t-shirt
  • Discounted hotel rooms and condos at Copper Mountain Resort for one-day volunteers or complimentary accommodations if you are volunteering for more than one day.

Volunteer jobs

Ham Radio Operator

Description: Facilitate event communications
Need: July 20-21, various locations
Qualifications: Must possess ham radio and have a current license. Volunteers will be screened and approved by the Ham Radio Controller. Must provide own transportation to and during the event.

Medical Crew

Description:  Provide quick and efficient treatment for rider medical needs
Need:  July 20-21, various aid station locations
Qualifications: Specialized medical skills required. Volunteers will be screened and approved by the Medical Supervisor.

Registration Crew

Description:  Assist with rider check-in. Hand out rider materials such as wrist bands, t-shirts, jerseys, etc.
Need:  July 19
Qualifications: Must be organized, industrious and quick-thinking. Excellent customer service skills required.

Marshal Crew

Description:  Assist riders with directions and crossing intersections while attending to their safety
Need:  July 20-21, various locations
Qualifications: Must be able to direct riders to medical locations, aid stations and bike repair stations. Must be prepared with folding chair, water, extra clothes, sunscreen, snacks, etc. and provide own transportation to and during the event. Additionally, must be energetic and fun cheerleader for riders. Costumes encouraged, but not required! ONE DAY OR FULL TOUR OPTIONS AVAILABLE.
