With enormous support from generous community stakeholders who believe in our mission, Children’s Colorado created and opened a state-of-the-art facility on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora in October of 2007.
The Anschutz Medical Campus is a 230-acre health sciences city, including over 10 million square feet of newly-built patient care, research and education facilities. With 19,000 employees and more than 41,000 jobs supporting the campus statewide, it generates more than $5.4 billion in annual economic impact.
With several world-class hospitals serving Colorado and the region, this expansive health care campus fosters collaboration among students, researchers and clinicians. Campus architecture and state-of-the-art technology offer a bridge between education, research and clinical care. The campus also is home to University of Colorado’s schools of medicine, nursing, dental medicine, pharmacy and public health.
