Tips for a Successful Crowdfunding Project

Once your idea has been approved, you’re ready to build out your campaign! You’re in control of the campaign from idea to completion – make sure you spend time developing a strategy on how you’ll ask your friends, family and contacts to support your idea. Included below are tips and tools to help you achieve your crowdfunding goal!

Tip: Add as much personality to your campaign as possible and let your supporters know why this project important to you. Include photos and videos too.

Tip: The more people you tell, the quicker you’ll reach your goal! Many people want to give to a great cause…all you need to do is ask!

Tip: Urgency drives response! Let your supporters know why this project needs to be funded now. What impact will your project have in the lives of patients at Children’s Colorado? Remember: a campaign is usually only 60 days with a fundraising goal between $1,000  $5,000. 

Tip: Persistence is important. Not everyone you reach out to will donate. Following up is the most important step in crowdfunding. On average, you have to ask someone seven times before they actually give

Tip: Report on your progress to those who have already supported you. Ask for additional donations once you reach the halfway mark of your campaign!
