More ways to give
#GivingTuesdayNow is a global day of giving taking place on May 5, 2020 as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. Even as we practice physical distancing, we can remain connected and come together on behalf of our community and frontline caregivers at Children's Hospital Colorado.
Our health care team needs extra support and resources to navigate both daily patient care and the unprecedented challenges of the coronavirus outbreak. Donations to the Caregiver Emergency Relief Fund will provide resiliency resources, personal protective equipment, and other critical needs to keep our caregivers safe and healthy in mind, body and spirit during this stressful time.
The Enterprise Zone tax credit is an opportunity to donate to Children’s Hospital Colorado and reduce the amount of Colorado state income tax you pay, in addition to federal and state charitable deductions you may receive for gifts to charity.
Crowdfunding for Children’s Colorado is an online fundraising platform that empowers our community to create and fund projects that support Children's Hospital Colorado. Explore COVID-19 crowdfunding projects that can make a lasting impact for kids.
Charitable Giving under the CARES Act
The federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act expanded tax deductions for charitable giving. For taxpayers who take the standard deduction, the CARES Act created an above-the-line deduction of up to $300 for cash donations made in 2020. For taxpayers who itemize, the deduction limit for charitable donations was increased. Consult a tax advisor for additional information on how you can support Children’s Hospital Colorado under these expanded charitable giving rules.
Give through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is a personal charitable vehicle that donors can establish at a public charity such as a community foundation or financial institution. A DAF allows donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate income tax deduction, and recommend grants from the fund over time to qualified nonprofits, such as Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation.
Currently, donors can recommend grants to Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation from Fidelity® Charitable, Schwab® Charitable, and Greater Kansas City Community Foundation through the link below. More sponsoring charities may be added in the future, so please check back if your fund isn’t currently listed. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact us at 720-777-1700 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
