Adam Jackson tackled a 40 mile run for his 40th birthday, raising more than $6,800 for Children’s Hospital Colorado along the way.
Children’s Colorado is important to Adam’s family. Geddy, his now 10-year-old son, was admitted to Children’s Colorado at only 9 days old with RSV, a common respiratory infection that can be life-threatening to young children.
“The care and support Geddy received at Children’s Colorado showed me the importance of a world-class children’s hospital,” said Adam. “Children with RSV, cancer, rare genetic disorders, traumatic injury, cystic fibrosis and innumerable other conditions receive care from this incredible organization.”
On April 9, Adam embarked on his birthday run with a lot to celebrate. With support from friends, family and well-wishers, he raised almost double his original fundraising goal through his Team Children’s Colorado fundraising page.
The take-away message from Adam’s effort: anyone can do this.
You don’t have to run your age in miles, but you can set up a Team Children’s Colorado fundraising page, no sweat. Whatever your reason, fundraising with Team Children’s Colorado is a fun, simple and paperless way to collect donations that help the kids we treat.
